the energy sector, she was

Manitobans. “It was hopeful and
an inclusive message,” she says. “It
felt modern and transparent, and
it strongly aligned with me and

shape the clear, action-oriented
energy efficiency messaging that
had caught her attention in the
first place.

solution. Our offers and resources

effort.”
“We’re all about helping people
save energy,” says Michael Stocki,
vice-president of efficiency
programs. “We have over 40 offers
for Manitobans to help them
reduce their energy consumption
and impact on the grid. We have
targeted offers for institutions,
industry, agriculture, First
Nations, businesses, communities
and residential customers.
Something for everyone.”
With around 100 employees,
Efficiency Manitoba is a strong
community of engaged people
working toward a common
purpose, Stocki says. “When we
work with people with limited
incomes or with First Nations,
we’re providing support toward
improving their lives with
significant cost savings and
increased comfort. It’s purposebased, and our employees have
the opportunity to work within
their passions and really make this
job their own.”
“Efficiency Manitoba values
diverse backgrounds and skill
sets, and it encourages creative,
out-of-the-box thinking,” says
Kapchinsky. “Particularly in a
smaller organization such as
ours, there’s a real openness
to innovation, and employees
are encouraged to apply their
strengths and grow within their
roles.”
“We’re a highly technical
organization with a need for
technical expertise across
marketing, engineering and
other functions supporting the
business,” says Stocki. “In our
field there are lots of technical
seminars, conferences and
opportunities to participate in
committees. That’s core to our
business so we encourage and
support 100-per-cent cost coverage
for conference attendance and for
upgrading technical knowledge.”
Team building is accomplished
in other ways as well. Efficiency
