Boomi is bringing people together to fuel growth

landed a job at
Boomi, Sharon
Saldanha felt
like the stars had
aligned. The strategic solutions
consultant — who worked in
tech in multiple countries before
moving to Vancouver from
India — had never been with an
employer as devoted to employee
success as this leader in intelligent
integration and automation.
“It was a world of difference
— nothing felt like this,” says
Saldanha. “From the first day, the
energy was incredible.”
The strength of Boomi’s
people-focused culture has
been instrumental to Saldanha’s
personal and professional
growth, but when it opened
its new office in downtown
Vancouver in February 2025, it took
collaboration to a whole new level.
Employees at Boomi gather at the organization’s Centre of Excellence in Vancouver.
It’s very rare to find a
company that invests in
people, its technology
and the platform at the
same time.

“It helps me to do my job better,”
says Saldanha. “I have the right
resources and technology to
achieve whatever I need to do. It’s
very rare to find a company that
invests in people, its technology
and the platform at the same
time.”
The three-floor, 54,000 sq.
ft. space supports staff with
rooms to serve different needs,
including large conference rooms
and smaller, private meeting
spaces, equipped with the latest
technology.
Dubbed the Centre of
Excellence, the new office
was conceptualized to bring
departments together and nurture
a growth mindset.
“Representation from across
the company makes this a real
centre of gravity for us,” says chief
marketing officer Alison Biggan.
While Boomi offers a flexible
hybrid schedule, in-office
gathering has always been at the
core of what makes the company
tick.
“Having people come
together to learn, socialize and
share experiences makes a
huge difference in overall job
satisfaction,” says Biggan. “That’s
really important to us.”
Employee health is prioritized
day-to-day through resources such
as ergonomic desks, regular yoga
breaks and weekly catered lunch.
In the big picture, Boomi has
kept pace with contemporary
needs through a benefits package
that includes a generous mental
health allowance and 12 weeks of
top-up for parental bonding leave
(including adoption) plus eight
weeks for birthing parents.
Having raised children while
working in tech herself, Biggan
understands how important it
is for an employer to prioritize
parental leave. “I’m really proud
of how Boomi makes it easier for
both parents to take time,”
she says.
While Boomi has entered a new
era with its Centre of Excellence, it
hasn’t left tradition behind — like
ringing the gong to celebrate staff
achievements.
When Saldanha closed her
first deal with the team, the news
resonated through the office —
literally — when the metal disc
was struck to signify success. For a
new employee, that small gesture
spoke volumes. “It felt like I was
recognized and my efforts weren’t
unnoticed,” she says. “That was
amazing.”
Then, last year, something
“magical” happened. Saldanha was
