Turgeon’s job is to develop events
that make it easy for interns to
connect and develop relationships
with people across the company.
“That's where you get interns
like me who go back to school
and say, ‘Well, I really hope that
Ford Motor Company of Canada hosts the Peter Klosch Ball Hockey Tournament in support of raising funds for
local mental health initiatives.
I can come back,’” Turgeon says,
adding her efforts are critical
to attaining and retaining the
best job candidates for full-time
positions. “The more people grow
and learn, and the better they get
at their job, the happier they are

Turgeon has some advice for
interns: “Be proactive and get
involved. Try to attend every
event possible and connect with
all the different employees and
other fellow interns. Learn from
their experiences, learn about the
different departments and really
try and get an understanding of
not only what the company does
but also its people.” And finally,
“Stay curious.”
