pension benefit services for nine
public sector pension plans,
serving over 520 employers across
Alberta (including government,
health care, post-secondary, and
other public sector organizations)
representing over 445,000
members and pensioners.

Sarah Furtado’s career at APS
began with a referral from a relative. Starting as an administrative
assistant, she progressed through
operations and special projects
to the education team and now
serves as a learning experience
design lead.
“When I started, I had no idea
what APS was,” says Furtado.
“What I’ve learned over my 13
years here is the value of serving
Albertans in a unique space. It’s
about pensions, retirement and
financial security. I’m more in
touch with the industry and retirement savings and that’s helped me
personally, too.”
